The TMC V2React 600 Calcium Reactor from aquatic-store.co.uk.
At last ... a calcium reactor that works straight out of the box (just add media and a CO2 supply).
High performance, quality calcium reactor incorporating a number of great features:
• Unique water intake system using a single integral pump which acts as both a supply and recirculation pump. This allows the V2React Calcium Reactor to be easily installed in any aquarium set-up without the need for a second pump or any modifications to existing pipework.
• Integral bubble counter which enables easy, measurable dosing of CO2 to the Calcium Reactor.
• pH probe holder which accepts all standard sizes of pH probes and enables the Calcium Reactor to be used in conjunction with pH monitors or controllers for more advanced aquarium set-ups.
• CO2 pressure regulator which allows for the precise control, adjustment and dosage of CO2 to the V2React Calcium Reactor.
• Ideally used with TMC Coarse Coral Gravel (not supplied) but can also be used with other similar types of filter media.
• 12 month guarantee.
React600 for aquariums up to 600 litres/120 UK gallons

After a struggle keeping calcium levels high in my reef tank with kalkwasser in the top up water, I thought enough was enough. After a chat with Neil at Erdington Aquatics I decided to invest in a calcium reactor. I chose TMC's package because it is good value and virtually ready to use out of the box. It only needs the addition of a cylinder of CO2, and calcium carbonate media. It is very easy to plumb in to either a sump, or aquarium. Though the word plumb is an exageration. the feed and return pipes just need to be attached to the sump wall with suction cups. The longest, and most difficult job was washing the media. Then, once the reactor is filled, top up with aquarium water, and fill the bubble counter with fresh water. connect up the three pipes (Feed, return, and CO2), plug it in, and wait for the pump to self prime, adjust the gas and water flow, and wait 24 hours for it all to settle down. Will it do the trick, and keep the calcium levels up at 400-450 ppm? Time will tell I guess.
