As a first time buyer of a Betta Aquarium, I was thrilled with the quality of this product. I would recommend this Aquarium.

all round good beginner tank i started my brother out on one of these and so far it seems pretty fool proof, however the pump is incredibly strong and creates a current around the tank, the light is also very intense esspecially the blue light and allthough this makes the tank look nice i find that it stresses the fish out, the crown tail fighter esspecially has a problem with the intense light. other than that its a good system and i would recomend it to any beginner fish keepers, i would recomend putting tiger barbs and medium sized neons in to start the tank off after the 2-3 week maturation period but remember to purchase a small heater for the water as this is not supplied with the tank (something that disapointed me)

lovely strongly built tank. brilliant with the curved corners! pump WONT suck in danio's and kill them! (as other reviewer said) as its got a cage on the bottom, also its not too strong. only down side is that the filter in above water on the back of the tank, so is very noisy! you couldnt put barbs or medium sized fish into this tank, as its way too small! only suitable for max 4 very small fish i.e. minnows/tetra/guppies and a couple of shrimp, or one algae cleaner fish. not suitable for danios neither, as they need very large swimming area because they are highly active fish! not suitable for goldfish at all, as they produce too much waste, and can grow huge. they will become easily stunted and not live very long. most suited to being a shrimp tank, or for one betta (siamese fighter fish) brilliant little tank though, i have mine as a 'hospital' tank, or for new fish before i transfer them to my main tank after a couple of weeks. (always good, as you can check for disease that way, saves you killing your whole main tanks inhabitants!) i have been keeping fish for 20+ years and currently have a 200 ltr tropical set-up.

A great little tank, but don't let it's size fool you - this isn't a beginner tank! Small doesn't mean it's a beginner tank. In smaller tanks the water quality changes a lot quicker than larger tanks meaning that beginners have less time to spot the changes and react to them. Larger tanks are often easier to keep healthy. The filter isn't too strong at all, I have some Guppies in mine and they recently had babies / fry which were exceptionally tiny and even they didn't have any problems with the filter, they were able to swim away from it and the cage would prevent them being sucked up. This is a good tank if you are short on space, if not then buy a bigger tank!
